As many of you know, we at MnSearch are very Minnesota proud. We just love it when local people and places get recognized!
Saturday’s (August 29th, 2015) Bing homepage featured a picture of a sunset reflecting off of a pond near Ely, Minnesota. The photo was taken by Jim Brandenburg a local Minnesota environmentalist, nature photographer and filmmaker based near Ely. This is Jim’s second photo to make the Big homepage in recent months as his picture of Superior National Forest was featured in July.
Fun Fact: Ely is popular as an entry point for the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness; the International Wolf Center, and the North American Bear Center. Wolfs and Canoes and Bears oh my!
So what’s in the boxes?
Bing use to have 4 featured boxes on the homepage that would to lead to more information related to the daily photo that would appear when you moved your cursor around the page. This year they slimmed it down to 3. Let’s see what they hold.
Box #1: The colorful sunsets can be stunning, but this spot also hosts some nice sunrises.
